MASTER OF DIVINITY (MDiv)
The Master of Divinity (MDiv) is a professional degree designed for those who have a bachelor's degree and are serving ,or preparing to serve, on a church staff or in other ministry positions. Students develop competencies in Biblical theology, church history, doctrine, spiritual formation, as well as servant leadership skills required for local church ministry. MASTER OF ARTS IN CLINICAL CHRISTIAN COUNSELING
American Bible University has partnered with the National Christian Counselor's Association (NCCA) to utilize its extensive curriculum to offer the Master of Christian Counseling (MCC).
Requirements for the Master of Arts in Clinical Christian Counseling include advanced specialized training in Christian Counseling, clinical supervision, internship, practicum, and thesis), and qualify the graduate as a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor or Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor, with Board Certification in his or her chosen specialty areas, certified by the NCCA. More than 1,700 persons in the United States have been certified by NCCA as licensed Christian counselors, making it the largest such credentialing agency in the nation. (Over 4,000 counselors have been licensed world-wide by NCCA.).

DOCTOR OF THEOLOGY
The ThD degree program is offered to students wishing to enhance their knowledge and ministerial skills or teaching competence in certain advanced areas of theology and ministry. The ThD program at ABU has a strong academic focus and biblical foundation, with a clear connection to the church.
Candidates for the Doctor of Theology degree will specialize in one of the fields of theological scholarship, such as: Hebrew Bible/Old Testament; New Testament and Early Christian Studies; History of Christianity; Systematic Theology; Ethics; Church Growth and Mission Studies.
Requirements for the ThD Degree
Must have BS and Masters
Study for the degree of doctor of theology extends through three stages: coursework, Knowledge Area Modules (KAM), and dissertation. Candidates for this degree must fulfill the following:
- 40 credit hours of coursework
- 18 credit hours of Knowledge Area Modules
- 12 credit hours of dissertation
